The 2026 Helsinki Central Park Run will be run on the streets of Helsinki in February.

The distance options for the 2026 event are 5 km and 10 km.
WHERE?
The race office is located in Pirkkola Sports Park. An address: Pirkkolan Metsätie 6, 00630 Helsinki
The 10 km route starts near the Pirkkola Sports Park and goes to Mäkkylä station and back.
The 5 km starts from Mäkkylä station and goes to Pirkkola Sports Park. Runners have to travel to the 5 km start on their own. The light rail number 15 runs from Pirkkola Sports Park to near the 5 km starting point, get off at the Ravitie stop. See the transport connections from HSL-reittioppas. The organizer does not offer a ride to the 5 km starting point.
Both routes run on roads with enhanced winter maintenance.

RACE INFO
SCHEDULE AND DEPARTURE
The start for both of distances is on Saturday 28.2.2026 at 12.00.
The starting point for the 10 km race is located near Pirkkola Sports Park, at the intersection of Pirkkolantie and Pirkkola Urheilupuisto. The distance from the competition office to the starting point is approximately 500m.
The starting point for the 5km is located near Mäkkylä station on Turuntie. Runners have to travel to the start on their own. The light rail number 15 runs from Pirkkola Sports Park to near the 5 km starting point, get off at the Ravitie stop. See the transport connections from HSL-reittioppas. The organizer does not provide a ride to the start.
FINISH
The finish line for both distanses is located near Pirkkola Sports Parks, at the intersection of Pirkkolantie and Pirkkolan Urheilupuisto.

Based on the rules of Finnish Athletics Federation and WA the series are:

10km: Men / Women
In addition there is a series for other-gender.
ELITE RUNNERS
We offer free participation to the event for elite runners who have run under the following times in 2024-2026:
Men:
5000 m / 5 km: 15.45
10000 m / 10 km: 33.00
Half marathon: 1.12.00
Women:
5000 m / 5 km: 18.15
10000 m / 10 km: 38.15
Half marathon: 1.22.00
To apply for a free registration as an elite runner, please send us an email to tapahtumat@runhigh.fi with details about your qualifying result (name of event, your time, link to results). The result must be from an official road or track race in 2024-2026.
RACE OFFICE AND BIB NUMBERS
The race office is located in the event area in Pirkkola Sports Park, Helsinki. At the race office you can pick up your bib number or late register for the event. You can also pick up your friend’s number by presenting their email.
You will receive your running number by email before the race office opens. Please be ready to show this email to the race office staff when picking up your bib number. If you don’t receive the information about your number (do also check your spam folder), you will get it by your name from the race office on race day.
ROUTE
The 10 km route starts near the Pirkkola Sports Park and goes to Mäkkylä station and back.
The 5 km route runs from Mäkkylä station to Pirkkola Sports Park. Runners have to travel to the start on their own. See public transport connections in the HSL-reittiopas. The organizer does not provide a ride to the start.
Both routes run on roads with enhanced winter maintenance, which allows for a non-slip and fast running surface regardless of the season.
BAG DROP
Free equipment storage is available for participants, located near the race office. The equipment storage is open on the day of the event.
Equipment will be collected back against your competition number. Please do not lose your number after the competition until you have collected your belongings from storage.
CHANGING ROOMS AND WC
Changing rooms, toilets and showers are available for runners in Pirkkola Sports Park. The facilities are located in the same building as the competition office, near the sports field.
TIMING
Electronical timing application will be used.
Please attach your number on the front of your running shirt or costume and keep it visible especially when arriving to the finish. If you attach the bib on your back or your pants, we cannot guarantee you timing.
MAXIMUM RUNNING TIME
Maximum running time in both of distances is 1h 45min.
IF YOU WITHDRAW FROM THE RACE
You do not need to notify the staff if you decide to withdraw from the race. If you withdraw please do not arrive in the immediate vicinity of the finish line with your running number on your chest.
REFRESHMENT STATION
There will be one hydration station on the 10 km route, at the 5k point, serving water and sports drink. Refreshments are also available at the finish.
FIRST AID
First aid will be available at the start/finish area.
PHOTOS
Event organizers will have full rights to publish the photos and video material taken during the event. We will also release photos and videos in our social media channels.

FROST LIMITS
The event’s frost limits will be checked on the day of the event at 10:00 a.m. according to the weather report from the Finnish Meteorological Institute’s Kumpula measurement station.
Less than –20°C of frost: The event will take place and transferring participation is only possible with transfer insurance (see instructions below!).
More than –20°C of frost: The event will take place, but participants may, if they wish, transfer their registration to another Runner’s High running event.
More than –30°C of frost: The event will be cancelled and participants will be contacted regarding compensation for their entry.
CANCELLATION OF PARTICIPATION
No cancellations of participation are required. We will not refund paid participation fees.
TRANSFER OF PARTICIPATION
It is possible to buy transfer insurance, which allows you to transfer the registration to next year’s Helsinki Central Park Run or use the paid amount for another event participation. The price of transfer insurance is 10 euros.
If transfer insurance has not been acquired at the time of registration, the customer has the right to transfer the registration for the event to another person for a transfer fee of 10 euros, but not the right to transfer the registration to another event or to the following year.
The organizer will not refund paid registration fees under any circumstances.
1. Transfer to another person
You can transfer your participation to another person (until 20.2.2026) for a transfer fee of 10 euros.
Note: Registration paid with sport vouchers cannot be transferred to another person.
2. Transfer to next year’s Helsinki Halloween Run (requires transfer insurance)
If the participant has purchased transfer insurance at the time of registration, it is possible to transfer participation to next year’s event by 27.2.2026.
3. Transfer to another event (requires transfer insurance)
If the participant has purchased transfer insurance at the time of registration, it is possible to transfer the entry for another Runner’s High event (until 27.2.2026). After the transfer request your registration will be cancelled, and you will get a discount code worth the same amount of money you paid for your registration.
How can I transfer my participation?
When transferring your participation to another event or person, or to next year, please contact tapahtumat (at) runhigh.fi with the following information:
- Name of the original participant
- Name of the person who will make the new registration (if participation will be transferrer to another person)
- To which event the transfer will be made
After the transfer request you will get more detailed instructions by email.
FORCE MAJEURE
If the event has to be canceled or cannot be held due to a force majeure, you are entitled to a refund of the registration fee. You must request the refund from the event organizer within 30 days of the organizer’s announcement of the event’s cancellation. However, the organizer is not responsible for any delays or damages resulting from the event’s cancellation or postponement due to force majeure, and you are not entitled to compensation for any additional or useless expenses incurred, such as accommodation or travel costs. Force majeure is an event or occurrence beyond the control of the organizer which the organizer could not reasonably be expected to have taken into account at the time of the conclusion of the contract or to have avoided or overcome it or its consequences. Force majeure comprehends both natural disasters and events such as civil unrest, risk to general safety, orders of public authorities or other superior force that prevents the organizing of the event.
